Self-heal, prunelle, prunelle commune, herbe au charpentier, brunelle commune, brunelle vulgaire, woundwort, heart-of-the-earth, carpenter's herb, brownwort or blue curls. Heal-All/Self-Heal reproduces by seed and by somewhat creeping stems. The plant as a whole can be boiled and eaten or used in salads, soups, stews, and boiled as a pot herb. In Chinese medicine Heal-All is used to treat dizziness, red eyes, dry cough, and dermatitis and boils. It is also a main ingredient in several herbal teas in southern China. Native Americans made a cold infusion of the whole plant as a drink. The plant has also been used to treat various physical ailments.
